2020 Reflection

Looking back at 2020, I can be so torn about it being one of the most devastating years (as it was for most of us), or look at it as one of the most transformative years of my life. And I choose the latter. ✨⁣⁣⁣

2020 was a sh*tshow, that is NO question. The collective grief and sadness is hard to ignore. And I can empathize with a lot of the stories I’ve heard this past year. I was close to losing my business, I was depressed, I was deeply hurt by a loved one, but in spite of all of that, it was also one of the best years I’ve had that has helped me grown into the person I am and the person I want to be.⁣⁣

In 2020:⁣⁣

✨ Moved into a 1600 sqft. creative space⁣

✨ I produced and directed my first film project⁣ ⁣

✨ Invested in my self-care journey and worked with a life coach⁣⁣

✨ Launched a live music series⁣⁣

✨ Worked on my first 15+ person set/project⁣⁣

✨ Moved into a Downtown loft with the love of my life⁣⁣

✨ Reinvested into our business and got a grip van⁣⁣

✨ Launched my website + online shop selling affirmation candles⁣⁣

✨ Invested in therapy⁣⁣

✨ Was first AD for an incredible sci-fi pilot⁣⁣

✨ Upgraded and moved into a 2100 sqft. creative space⁣

These blessings definitely outweigh the low moments, and for that, I am so grateful. 🥲🙏 And I know these experiences are pieces of my story that will lead me where I’m meant to be, even if the future doesn’t seem so certain.⁣⁣

May 2021 be full of blessings for all of you - where you become your truest and whole self, where you become the person you’ve always imagined, where you take up space in each and every room you enter, and where you choose to heal, rise and keep going each and every day.⁣⁣

Fear less, create more, and do more of what makes you happy! You got this! 💞
