It’s been a while, you guys! But it’s better late than never. I feel like these few months have flown by and life lately has been wonderful. Here are some highlights of the last few months, if you haven’t kept up with me lately!
April was so much fun, I picked up a new camera to vlog with and went on a little getaway with Ian to LA. We got a chance to explore around the DTLA area, Santa Monica, and Venice. And we got a little taste of what living together would be like in our cute Airbnb that was super cozy! And while we were there we got to catch Olu Bliss perform and catch up with our friends which was super nice! Then to end our little road trip, we trekked our way to Palm Springs to check out the Desert X installation and it was SO much fun! Check out that vlog here if you haven’t already, ’twas a great time!
What can I say about May? May was SO much fun. First off, we got to celebrate Ian’s birthday with a little staycation. During our staycation, we got ourselves a cute Airbnb to stay in for a few days, made ourselves dinner each night, and got to relax. The day of Ian’s birthday, we went skydiving! If you all know Ian, you know he’s terrified of heights so it took a little bit of convincing to get him to go, but I’m so happy we did! Check out our vlog when we go skydiving and get a peek at the dinner I surprised him with some close friends!
June was one of the most eventful months to date this year. I hosted Unfiltered, a Coffee & Convos event alongside BRICK and other amazing folks. The event itself was incredible, brought together so many great vendors, music, and artists! It was so much fun, and one of the biggest accomplishments of C&C!
Then I was able to go to Joshua Tree, stay at The Joshua Tree House with the guys and just kick back and relax. A few weeks later I found myself in Yosemite with my family and it was a trip to remember!
In July, my brother turned 21 so you already know that meant a big celebration! So much fun getting to meet his friends and celebrating this milestone with him! Then the biggest highlight was attending my first music festival! We went to FYF and I got to see some of my favorite artists live – Frank Ocean, Solange, Mura Masa, Flying Lotus, (his set was in 3D! OMG), A Tribe Called Quest and so much more. It was such a fun experience and I can’t wait to go to my next festival! Then I got to end the month with a much needed inspirational panel hos
I’ve said it before, y’all! Life is good. And there’s one quote to sum it all up:
“Life is what you make it. Always has been, always will be.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
I’ve had so many great opportunities in the last few months that have not only helped me creatively, but fueled a passion inside me I didn’t know I needed. And those vlogs I planned on putting up? Yeah, I know, I’ve been terrible at keeping up with it which is why I’ve also created a vlog recap of all the happenings of footage I’ve compiled because why not?!
