This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending a Blogger Brunch that the lovely Alison of City Leaper put together at Bankers Hill SD. Since I’m a huge fan of brunch and getting together with other boss babes, there’s no way I could miss it!
From Jess of Social Studio standing on her chair to take the perfect shot, to the delicious cinnamon roll topped with berries, and the great vibes all around – it was definitely the best way to end the weekend and start the new month with some inspiration and positivity.
I’m all for mimosas for brunch, but I wanted to try their house specialty drinks and they had the coolest names! Nancy had the Milk Tyson Punch and I had myself the Breakfast Stinger (Rum, Branca Menta, Cafe Moto Cold Brew, and Coconut Cream). I definitely recommend the Breakfast Stinger, it was the perfect blend of caffeine in the AM with just the right kick to turn it up a notch.
Alison gave nothing but a rave review for their truffle fries, so we got one to share with the table. And she was SO right! They were delicious and the perfect appetizer to begin our blogger brunch! I’m always up to trying new things, so I wanted a mix of savory and sweet. Luckily, Nancy was down to split our food so we ended up going with their House Made Cinnamon Roll and the Beef Brisket and Portuguese Sausage Hash. AMAZING! The cinnamon roll was beyond me, especially topped with fresh berries – who knew that was a thing? And the hash was a great way to balance out the sweet we just had and had so many delicious flavors!
So if you’re ever in a mood to try a new brunch spot, give Bankers Hill a try – it will not disappoint! Not to mention, the service was incredible!
The Blogger Babes
Meet the babes who just get it…
The ladies who take the same amount if not more photos of food before eating and have a passion for blogging as much as I do. It’s amazing what you get when you get a bunch of creative minds together.
Allison Gower // Kelsey Christine of Honey Side Up // Alison Kinsey of City Leaper // ME! // Nancy Wong // Lindsey of Get it Done Gals // Jessica Howell of Social Studio // Kellen McAvoy of A Cup of Kellen // Taylor of Sand and Sequins
Pretty much met my spirit animals.
Obviously had to do an obligatory #shoefie pic and capture a photo with my outfit twin, Taylor!
It was nothing short of a great time and I’m already looking forward to connecting more with these ladies who are doing so many rad things in our creative community in San Diego!
